Lucy's Life #1

Hello, my name is Lucy. When I was a baby, I was left on the doorstep of a big house owned by the mayor of Adamstown. I figured all of that out today, and now I am 10 ½ years old. My parents, well foster parents, are Jenny and David York. My “mom” is a very nice and charitable woman who volunteers at many charities, my school, and in Adamstown fairs. My “father” is a business man. Not like those workaholics, but he does work every day, even the weekends, from 5 am to 11 pm, since he is the mayor. But enough talk about my “parents”. It is time to talk about me. My name is Lucy York. I am a 10 ½ year old girl, as I said, and very athletic. I do gymnastics, dance, and basketball. I am an only child, of course, that is why they took me in. Any way, I go to Adamstown Middle School and am in 7th grade. You might be wondering why I am 10 and in 7th grade. Well that is because I skipped a grade, that’s right, I never went to 6th grade. So I guess I am pretty smart. At first people used to bully me because I was so small. But then they figured out my so called “dad” is the mayor of Adamstown. Okay, so this is the whole thing that started today, I will start from when I woke up. First, I woke up at 6:00 am, took a shower, ate breakfast (chocolate chip waffles), and brushed my teeth (mint toothpaste). When I was going out to my driver, to go to school, I saw the newspaper in the normal pack it always comes in. I picked it up to read in the car (and yes, I read newspapers). When I finished the main article, I went to the bottom of the first page, and what do you know! There is a picture of me, and my “parents”. I got so excited until I read the article headline. “Is Little Lucy a Fake?” I got so worried, first of all, I am not little, I am in 7th grade for crying out loud. Second of all, why is it saying fake, is it trying to say I am an alien? Because I am pretty sure I am completely human.  Anyways, I was astonished to see that I was adopted. Oh come on, my “parents” sure fooled me. I can’t believe they would hide that from me. Okay, well still continuing…when I got to school, all of the teachers were ignoring me, same with my friends. I was like I betrayed them. My parents betrayed ME. I didn’t know anything about this until now. And now everyone is upset. But my question is, how could my parents just let that out to the world, and when did this happen? I watch every single television meeting or interview they have, so when did they say that? That’s when I figured out my parents were being blackmailed.
