The earth is burning

The world is burning
Natures laws we are overturning
We are racked with war
And yet we are not learning

This globe where we live
Has so much to give
And yet we kill it
The disasters we will not forgive

Our most great and terrible moments
More ways to destroy are our advancements
And we are blind to the fact
That these aren’t any accidents

The earth is burning
The seas are churning
The sky is falling
But the tide is turning
This is a war
War against wanting more
Though this war is intangible
It is full of blood and gore

Eventually in this war and bloodbath
We may see an unused path
Out of this pain
And megadeath
