America,
Land of the Free
Home of the Brave
As we all know it.
But, What is America?
America is,
Fireflies in Summer
Cities and Farms
And Roadside Stands
It’s A Soldier Coming Home,
From a Year at War,
Seeing His Family Again.
It’s Backyard Bar-B-Ques,
Hot Dogs and Hamburgers,
And Baseball Games.
It’s lemonade stands,
Girls and boys,
Kids and Adults,
And old Grandparents.
What is America?
It’s Love and It’s Tears.
It’s Hopes and It’s Fears.
It’s dreams coming true,
For People from All Nations,
United as one.
