They were provided through a grant program from the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and the Division of Library & Development Services (DLDS). Librarians from FCPS and FCPL wrote a grant to obtain the funding.
11. May I use copyrighted material in my submission?

10. Will the submissions be copyrighted?
Submitted by runkles1 on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 13:09.When your work is posted to TweenVisionaries.org, it will be posted with a Creative Commons Copyright as Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives (by-nc-nd). This is what that means: It is the most restrictive of the six main licenses, allowing redistribution. This license is often called the "free advertising" license because it allows others to download your works and share them with others as long as they mention you and link back to you, but they can't change them in any way or use them commercially.

8. My submission was rejected. What should I do?

7. I submitted my submission. Why don't I see it on the web site?

6. Who can help me if I get stuck?
Submitted by runkles1 on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 13:07.There will be trained librarians at C. Burr Artz and Thurmont who can help. Also the library media specialists at Ballenger Creek Middle, Brunswick Middle, West Frederick Middle and Windsor Knolls Middle will be trained to assist you.
5. I don't have a digital camera or a video camera. May I participate?
Submitted by runkles1 on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 13:06.Yes, you may borrow this equipment at 2 FCPL branches: CBA & Thurmont. Also 4 FCPS middle schools have equipment to borrow: Ballenger Creek Middle, Brunswick Middle, West Frederick Middle, and Windsor Knolls Middle. These 6 sites also have a computer with all the software loaded and a scanner available for student use in preparing submissions.
4. Who is eligible to create a submission?

3. May I make a submission on any topic I feel like?
Submitted by runkles1 on Wed, 09/03/2008 - 13:03.Your submission must represent your original ideas. This is a place where you can be creative. Use the databases (SIRS, Issues & Controversies, World Book, etc.) that your public or school library provides to find more ideas.

One of the administrators of the site will register you for a username and password and contact you with this information. You can use your username and password at home or in your library to upload your submission.
